Coney Island History Project's Elephant Mural

A colorful mural was painted on the metal gates of the Coney Island History Project commemorating all the glorious memories of Coney Island. The mural features the Elephant Hotel.

The mural was finished in time for our May 23 opening day of the 2009 season. Visit the Coney Island History Project’s Public exhibition center under the Cyclone Roller Coaster at 824 Surf Avenue just east of W 10th Street.FREE ADMISSION for One and ALL!Open weekends from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.Hours are 1 to 6 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays.
