The Coney Island Development Corporation (CIDC) has announced its first ever student writing competition. Coney Island students in grades 1 through 12 have until April 18th to submit essays of up to 500 word describing their vision for the future of Coney Island. Winners will receive a pack of tickets to Coney attractions such as the Aquarium, Cyclones games, and the Wonder Wheel.This sounds like a great way to help local youth feel included- rather than passed by- by the city's plans for a new Coney Island.
